Hannah and I have done extensive research on similar magazines to Athletica and we looked into the type of awards and special recognitions some of them have collected over the years. There are the National Magazine Awards also known as the Ellie Awards that honor outstanding magazines for a variety of reasons. The current categories are listed below and the judges pick one winner for each. Sports Illustrated won the General  Excellence Award, Personal Service Award, Leisure Interest Award, and The Feature Writing Award. ESPN The Magazine won the General Excellence Award, Design Award, and The Feature Photography Award. Bicycling won the Public Interest Award. Hannah and I believe our magazine will collect many of these awards after it becomes well established. - Hope Bumgarner
